Infancy: birth to 2 years

Recommend Infants’ TYLENOL® Oral Suspension to relieve pain and reduce fever for patients aged 0 months to 3 years weighing 6 to 35 lbs

Children grow most dramatically in their first year, tripling their birth weight, doubling their brain weight, and increasing nearly 50% in length.1Pain and discomfort resulting from teething and otitis are common. Remind parents that it’s important to dose by weight during this rapid growth stage. Infants’ TYLENOL® Oral Suspension contains 160 mg of acetaminophen per each 5 mL dose and is available in grape, cherry, and dye-free cherry flavors.

Early childhood: 2 to 4 years

Recommend Children’s TYLENOL® Oral Suspension and Chewables for pediatric patients ages 2 through 11 weighing 24 to 95 lbs

From ages 1 to 4, children learn to walk, communicate, and develop independent skills like brushing their teeth and using the toilet.1 Ear infections are still common during this stage, as are cold and flu, as well as other conditions that may cause pain or fever. Remind parents that washing hands can keep children healthy and prevent the spread of respiratory infections.2 Children’s TYLENOL® Oral Suspension and Chewables contain 160 mg of acetaminophen per 5 mL dose and are available in multiple flavors.

Middle childhood: 4 to 11 years

Children’s TYLENOL® is an appropriate choice to consider for relieving pain and reducing fever in pediatric patients ages 2 through 11 and weighing up to 95 lbs

For children ages 4 to 11 years, social interaction with others at daycare or school may put them at risk of catching cold and flu, or other viral infections that may result in pain and fever.3,4 Remind parents that keeping children up-to-date on all recommended immunizations helps reduce the risk of illness.5 Also, preventing sickness reduces the use of antibiotics and the likelihood that antibiotic resistance will develop.6 Children’s TYLENOL® Oral Suspension, Chewables, and Dissolve Packs contain 160 mg of acetaminophen per dose.
